I got word

I dont know how many of you are aware of this, but a certain J named person is no longer working for D3ntrix. He apparently had some conflicts with the Enterprise support guys and "Health Issues"... My personal opinion is that he quit because he was worried that the enterprise guys would find him in an ally with no manager around to protect him, but thats just me thinking. I dont mean to be a downer, but I just really disliked that guy. For example: A couple of weeks ago, he came to me because he was worried about his kids. That they might be being abused by their step-dad and that I should try and see what is going on about it. Then the following week I heard from a little bird on my shoulder that he called the step-dad and told him that I was spreading rumors about him abusing the kids. How screwed up is that? Well, I didnt actually say anything to anyone. I went to the mother and the step-dad and told them what I was told, and they laughed and said something along the lines of... "That is so him." Guess that is a testament to who you choose to listen to. Well, later.

A Picture for Eric

To place this picture for Eric's viewing or not? Well I guess the inner voice told me the right thing to do. You will all get a kick out of this one.

I even thought that I would replace the head on this with another individual who has been called this name a time or two, but I try to avoid even looking at that kind of stuff. Well, Later.

Busy Busy

To say the least, I have been really busy at work these last couple of weeks. There is a issue where G 2 will just not open for some clients, but only on specified computers. It appears that the problem is tied to performance counters setup by the operating system to increase the overall productivity of the machine. Its not a programming glitch as far as D3ntrix is concerned, but a Microsoft .Net problem. It has been reported by many many different applications and Microsoft's only solution? upgrade to .Net 2.0. Problem is in order to do that requires rewriting of the D3ntrix software and retesting the entire product, which would be a huge cost to the company to resolve a couple of customers having the problem. Well, to make a long story short, in the process of finding this out, I had created a backup of the customers HDD, but the backup I had created was for some reason faulty. (But the drive image software didn't mind telling me that until I was trying to restore it to the computer.) So I have been spending the last 3 days trying to find a way to get all the data back in the original condition, and thats a tough process. I think I have found a solution, but it will require yet another day of playing with it. Once it is working I will use a completely different HDD to do the testing so that there is no more chance of the customers computer getting something screwed up. Anyway, I had to sit on that over the weekend which made it a little less enjoyable that I could have hoped. I did have a good one though. The weekend was pretty busy also, first it was over to Rachel's parents for a "Sod Party." We did his entire back and side yard in about 4 hours. I then went home and mowed the lawn, then left on a date with Rachel. We went to see "Perfect Strangers," it was a pretty good movie. It had thrill, suspense, and a surprise at the end that changed your views of the entire movie. I guess that is what happens when you only tell part of the story in the beginning instead of just laying it all out on the table, but then again, that is the art of story telling. Anyway, I am sure that you are all bored of my endless rambling so I will go, but after a sort note. Doyle and his Hun(Rachel) came over for dinner on Sunday, we had a lot of fun talking about various things and had many many laughs over stupid things. Rachel(Doyle's Rachel) said that perhaps she could stay home with Doyle 2.0 if he were to take a 3rd job, but that didn't sit well with him. Something about, "Working is for the bee's" or something. Anyway, now I will leave you all alone.

Excellent Humor

So as many of you know this last weekend was my birthday and Rachel threw me a party on Friday. My sister-in-law Debra has a great sense of humor and got me some "Dont Have Ugly Children" chewing gum. I decided to look up a little more about this company and they have a whole bunch of other products that are equally entertaining. You can follow this link to see their selection of other gum, but just click the link at the top called ' Just For Fun' and there are many other products that are funny as well.

Well, the only thing I really have to say now, is that the new D3ntrix S H P R process is working quite well, problem is, that it may be working a little too well. I am getting SHPR's from techs that dont know how to write SHPR's. I am trying to work with Sup Management to make those who approve the SHPR's are going to be held accountable for the SHPR's they send up without reading. But that is about it. Anyway, hope everyone is having a great week. Oh yeah! The week is already half over and that makes me very happy. Rachel wants to go camping this weekend, even with the rain and snow everywhere. She wants to go to Colob Canyon in Southern Utah. Its a nice place, but it is so far away to go camping. Although, it should be alot of fun so I am looking forward to it. Anyway, I guess that covers it. Later

Spring Cleaning

So Rachel and I finally decided to do a little spring cleaning over the weekend. I went through my shed and moved out a bunch of stuff, and built a new shelf for storage. Last night between the hours of 7:30pm and 11:30pm was the cleaning session. The house is very much cleaner today, so much cleaner than I have seen it in a while. The kids had a pretty good weekend to, as many of you have already noticed, I brought in a boat load of candy this morning, which happened to be the spoils of a single party. To say the least, the kids have a lot of candy and I dont know how much of it I will allow them to eat. I am in fear of them going into a sugar induced coma... I dont recall me every slipping off into one, but I sure remember feeling sick, due to the amount of chocolate that I ate. I know, lets make a formula.

(Weight x (Lbs of Chocoloate/Time to consume all chocolate)) + 50 (for good measure) = Chocolate Index.

Mine would have to be something like...
(160 x (2 lbs/4 minutes) ) + 50 = 130 (If the chocolate index is greater than 100, you at too much candy.

So, what was your chocolate index over the weekend? And if it pleases you, please lie through your ears!

Oh, yeah... if there are revisions to the formula that you would like to see, please let me know.

Camping

So the Scout campout was a pretty nice success and they found tons of geode's and it was quite alot of fun. I came back and the car was completely covered in white mud. It took spraying the car down with the garden house twice and a car wash to make it look better. It still isnt completely clean. I will have to finish getting it cleaned up this next weekend. Although I dont know exactly what we will be doing to know if it will be worth it. I am thinking that we will go camping this Friday and return early saturday, then go to my brother in-laws birthday party or wait until next weekend and go on the 13th and return on saturday in time for my sisters talent show for the miss Pleasant Grove Pagant. Eitherway, I think I will let Rachel decide, because if she doesnt want to go because it will be cold or whatever, I will not force her to do it. Anyway, I spent most of yesterday cleaning up the yard. I mowed the grass and raked the entire lawn. Then I had my brother and his girlfriend over for dinner. It was quite good. I love Rachels potato salad. After that I decided to play my computer (LOTR:Return of the King) game and got further than I have before. Maybe I am a little weird about computer games. I will always play them on the hardest level of difficulty, until I win them before I try an easier approach. Takes forever to beat some games. Anyway, that is pretty much what has been going on. I want to get out and hike to the top of Mt Baldy sometime this week or the next, but I need someone to go with me. I would just take the dog, but with her getting fixed, I dont think a 6 mile hike is the best thing I could do for her at the moment.
